Domestic Violence is:
“An ABUSE of power, manifested through SELFISHLY motivated patterns of behavior intended to exercise or maintain CONTROL over one’s partner."
- Chris Moles
Attuned psychotherapy is passionate about helping survivors recover from trauma. Therapy provides an environment to explore adverse experiences. Perhaps equally important, therapy provides a place to explore the things that we did not experience but needed. Every human needs secure and loving relationships. When safety is threatened and love is absent we become overwhelmed. Our ability to connect to others and manage day to day life is diminished. Our goal at Attuned Psychotherapy is to help you enjoy connection, discover your voice, and grow in your capacity to experience true and lasting joy.
Every person is created with value & purpose and is uniquely designed to enjoy connection to others. Often experiences impair our ability to feel safe in relationships, and alter our view of self & of our place in the world. Attachments are broken. Brains & bodies malfunction. The world is not predictable. Therapy provides an environment to explore these issues. At Attuned Psychotherapy we are honored to walk alongside those who have experienced adversity as they bravely commit themselves to the journey of healing & recovery.
"Being able to feel safe with other people is probably the single most important aspect of mental health; safe connections are fundamental to meaningful and satisfying lives."

Recovery Support Group
In this group, clients do a piece of focused work on some aspect of their trauma history and how it is affecting them in the present. General goals for this group are to relieve shame, reduce isolation, promote mastery and empowerment, model healthy relationships, integrate traumatic experiences with factors of resiliency, and provide a sense of hope for the future.
If you are looking for a group we are not currently offering please feel free to reach out and let us know your interest. We may be able to offer a group in the future if there are enough people with similar needs.
